Wp-squared allows you to create backups directly within the dashboard. You may also have backups run on a schedule. It is a good habit to periodically back up your website, particularly before making major changes.

Where Are My Backups Stored, How Do I Restore My Site?
The generated backup will be listed under “Backups” tab in WP-Squared, and it can be directly restored clicking on “Restore” button. The backups generated will also be stored in the File Manager under “WordPress Backup” folder, where the backups can be downloaded. See our dashboard tour if you need help finding the file manager.
Schedule Regular Backups
You can tell WP Squared to run backups on a regular basis automatically.
To enable this, click the gear icon in the backups tab and the following form will pop up:

As you can see, WP Squared can also automatically delete these backups for you.
A Word Of Caution With Backups
Generally speaking, backup files might contain sensitive data that can compromise the security of your website. On the web, everybody is connected: it's like being next door to everyone, good or bad, at the same time. Sometimes developers will move their backup files to publicly accessible locations and sensitive data can be scraped from these backups - don't be one of them, take the time to consider where these backups are being stored.
