The short answer is no, you can renew a domain with us at any time, and you will not lose any time that you have already paid for.

If you have already been invoiced, simply pay the invoice outstanding by clicking on the link in the email, or going to Billing > My Invoices > View Invoices > Pay Now.
If an invoice hasn't been generated, you can generate an invoice immediately by doing to Domains > My Domains > Manage Domain > Renew Now.

The invoice once paid will automatically renew the domain for the number of years you have selected.
